What it was

CA DS 09 was the ISO declarations form for the Garage Coverage Form CA 00 05. It scheduled garage locations, garage operations liability, garagekeepers and dealers' physical damage. Its last edition was 03 10.

Status

ISO did not revise CA DS 09 in 2013: the business auto and motor carrier declarations moved to 10 13, a new Auto Dealers Declarations CA DS 26 was introduced, and the Garage program was withdrawn in most jurisdictions.

Selling notes

  • Dealer accounts now use CA DS 26 with the Auto Dealers Coverage Form CA 00 25.
  • Non-dealer garages are written on a CGL policy and the Business Auto Coverage Form with its declarations CA DS 03; garagekeepers is scheduled on CA 99 37.
  • Expect to see CA DS 09 only on legacy policies or prior-carrier documents when re-marketing an older garage account.
