What it does
CR 20 33 is used when the crime coverage is written above another crime or fidelity policy, so that the ISO form responds only excess of the scheduled underlying insurance.
Who needs it
Larger accounts building a tower of crime or fidelity limits, and public entities buying excess over a primary crime policy or pool.
How it fits the policy
This endorsement changes the base crime or fidelity form it is attached to and is listed with the other endorsements on the declarations. Schedules in the endorsement (names, positions, amounts or dates) control how it applies, so confirm the schedule is complete before binding. ISO's forms index lists the current edition for 50 jurisdictions.
Quoting and selling notes
- Match the excess policy's trigger (discovery or loss sustained) and insuring agreements to the primary.
- ISO lists the 05 23 edition for most states; check availability.
