What it does

CR 25 41 amends the employee definition to include the persons or classes listed in the schedule. A state government policy, for example, schedules directors, trustees, board members and elected or appointed officials of the named insureds.

Who needs it

Organizations whose money is handled by people who are not employees under the base definition: directors and trustees, elected officials, independent contractors, or leased workers not otherwise included.

How it fits the policy

This endorsement changes the base crime or fidelity form it is attached to and is listed with the other endorsements on the declarations. Schedules in the endorsement (names, positions, amounts or dates) control how it applies, so confirm the schedule is complete before binding. ISO's forms index lists the current edition for 52 jurisdictions.

Quoting and selling notes

  • Ask the insured to list everyone with check-signing or payment authority and compare it with the employee definition.
  • CR 25 01 is the opposite form, removing persons from coverage.
