What it does
CR DS 06 is the ISO declarations page used with the kidnap/ransom and extortion coverage form CR 00 40. It shows the named insured and any joint insureds, the policy period, and a limit and deductible for each insuring agreement; an agreement with no limit shown, or "Not Covered", is not part of the policy. It also lists endorsements and the cancellation of prior insurance.
Who needs it
Every policy written on the forms listed above needs the matching declarations.
Quoting and selling notes
- Check that each insuring agreement the client wants (for example fraudulent impersonation, ERISA plan official dishonesty or clients' property) actually shows a limit.
- Deductibles are per occurrence; the ERISA plan agreement must carry no deductible.
- List all joint insureds and benefit plans by name.
