What it does

Massachusetts compulsory risks receive personal injury protection through the Massachusetts Mandatory Endorsement MM 99 11. For risks not subject to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Law, CAR's manual requires a different set of forms: "Personal Injury Protection Coverage – MA MM 99 35, Massachusetts Changes Endorsement MM 99 67, Business Auto Declarations CA DS 03." MM 99 35 provides the Massachusetts PIP coverage in that situation. The current edition is 04 11.

Policies covering vehicles with a Massachusetts exposure that are not registered under the compulsory law, for example out-of-state fleets operating in Massachusetts where Massachusetts PIP is required or chosen.
